We were so excited to have another opportunity to travel to Hong Kong. Especially to meet our new nephew Finley! Here's Finley hanging out with uncle Brett on our first morning there. We had a great flight over and didn't feel any jet-lag the entire time. What a blessing! This way we were really able to hopefully encourage and help our family members out as they experience new-ness of parenthood!
We went with Amanda to Finley's doctor appointment. After that we went to the Repulse Bay Temple. This was the most colorful temple we had seen in Hong Kong.
There is a belief that each trip over this bridge adds three days to your life. We both added six days... trying to keep it equal. Maybe I should have been running back and forth since I am the old lady in the relationship... only kidding, ok, sort of kidding.
This temple was completely outside with beautiful statues everywhere. People lined up at certain ones to burn incense.
One thing that I really like about this picture... the mountains in the background. Being on Hong Kong Island is absolutely an amazing experience.
Later that day we went to Shek O' Beach. This is my favorite picture of Finley at the beach. He's just relaxing... not a care in the world. (the sailboat outfit was not planned but is totally adorable)
Group shot in the warm sunshine!
View from our beach blankets... enough said.
We really enjoyed holding Finley and watching him sleep. What an experience! He is a precious angel. (yes, even when he cries and spits up)
Another morning we went to the Consulate to turn in Finley's passport application. Soon Amanda, Nate, and Finley will be making the trip back to the states to meet the rest of the family. Afterwards, Nate returned to work and Amanda took us to a great restaurant for brunch. Crepes and Eggs Benedict... a great start to the day!
It must be hard being a baby... time for another nap... It is obvious that Nate and Amanda are incredible parents. They have jumped right in to the role and they love it!
Brett and I love cooking, so Amanda and Nate let us work on two meals. We had our first experience in making green curry... yum! Next Amanda shared her recipe of lentil walnut burgers. Seriously, they were wonderful! We really enjoyed cooking and eating all of the great food!
On the last day in Hong Kong, Amanda took us to the Jade Market and the Flower Market. Ask Brett, I was too busy bargaining to get items at the Jade Market to take pictures. The Flower Market was beautiful!
Orchids galore... my favorite!

Amanda and Nate were such amazing hosts. It was really special to be able to spend this time with them!
