These last few weeks have been really busy so this is the first chance we've had to put up some pics of our family. We have had a great couple of weeks! Isaac is doing great at daycare!
Ten days ago we made a tough decision to try to be completely consistent at home with the way that Isaac is put down for his naps at daycare in hopes that the consistency will make things easier for him. We also knew that we had to completely break him of his addiction to sleeping in the nap nanny as well as seeing if he can sleep without being swaddled. The first few days were really hard, as we had to continue to put him down over and over, but we hoped it would make things easier for him in the long run. We stuck to it and our consistency paid off. He took better naps at daycare this week than ever before!!! Woohoo! Now that his naps are going so much better he is a much happier baby!
We're still trying to get him to sleep well at night without the swaddle. Some nights he does great, but others are not so great. If he has a hard time going down (keeps startling and waking up) we happily put him back in the swaddle. We're definitely not anti-swaddle, but we don't want him to be completely dependent on it because he is starting to self-soothe. We have been so impressed to watch him wake up at night and sometimes put himself back to sleep! Hopefully this will get better and better as he gets older.
To make all of this more interesting. This weekend, Isaac started rolling from his back onto his stomach. Wow! How did we know he could do this? On Friday night, he woke us up screaming 3 times. We ran into the nursery and found him laying on his stomach with his arms flailing. He was too tired and disoriented to flip himself back onto his back. I'm happy to say that within a few nights, this has really improved. More times than not, he can put himself on his back again... today he decided to stay on his stomach and sleep for a while. It is crazy how fast they grow and develop!
Ok, enough blabbing. I know that's not what you came here for. Here are some cute pics!
It's hard to see in this picture, but we're usually letting his hair stay curly... we love his wavy/curly hair.
This is what we see each time we go to get him out of his crib.
"I'm ready to get up and play!"
Then he starts squirming like a little wiggle worm.
Our babysitter Bridgette brought this cute moose bib back from her mission trip to Alaska. It was so sweet of her! It's the only one that can catch his massive drool!
No, we did not stage this pic. Isaac likes to reach out and grab objects now. He fell asleep in the car seat holding onto this toy. We just had to capture this. What a grip!
He is such a happy boy!
His neck is getting stronger everyday!
He loves sitting on Brett's lap. I am in love with his sweet face (and dimple) in this picture!!!
Our most recent family pic, taken yesterday. We are so thankful to have Isaac in our family, and Brett is an amazing father and wonderful husband. We are truly a blessed family and this is such an exciting journey!

The family picture is PERFECT! :)
You never knew baby sleep habits would consume your life like this, right?! Glad you're making progress! Great job, Mom, Dad, and Isaac!
Hugs to all of you! We miss you!
he is just so precious, that smile is somethin else! cant wait to hear him make his little baby noises in person. the rolling over seems like it comes so soon, doesnt it! you've survived the hardest part, in my opinion. every 3 mos, it gets a little easier.
