Summer Highlights

We had a wonderful... and busy summer this year. Here are a few pics to recap some of the highlights!

Each year, my coworkers and I walk the survivor's lap at Relay for Life. It's such a special event!

Brett's parents flew out over Memorial Day weekend. Other than the air conditioner dying...which was quickly fixed by the repair man, we had a great time together. We played lots of games...
Had David and Des teach us how to do some DIY projects... (more on those later)
And enjoyed some GREAT food! One of my favorites during their visit was roasted corn with crock pot bbq ribs! Yum!!!

We had a fun trip with my family to the beach again this year. My Aunt and Cousins joined us for an afternoon on the beach. Finley was adorable and so much fun to play with on the beach. He couldn't always decide what he thought about it... or us... since he hadn't seen us in a while, but he soon felt much more comfortable!

Over the July 4th weekend, we took a trip out to Kansas. This is a pic from our amazing meal prepared by David and Des to celebrate the holiday.

It was over 100 degrees each day that we were out there. So... Hannah had a good idea of wanting to run through the sprinkler. Unfortunately, she was the only one with a bathing suit.
Oh well.... we decided to make the best of it! Grandma Jan joined in too! It was so fun running around!
We really enjoyed getting to visit with Grandpa Alvin and Grandma Loretta too!
Late in July we went with my family to a local park. We brought Cali along too.

We had family portraits made while Amanda and fam were still in town. Here is my favorite group pic! What a fun end to a great summer!
