We had an outstanding Christmas this year! Guess who came to visit? (Amanda, Nate and Finley) It's such a long trip for them to come back to the US, but we're so glad to have them home! The festivities started with luminaries at my parent's neighborhood. It's so beautiful!
It was a whirlwind for all of us. Full of lots of amazing food and wonderful memories with our family members. Christmas is always a busy time for my side of the family. Along with celebrating the birth of Jesus... we also celebrate 4 birthdays within 2 weeks. (notice the happy birthday banner beside the Christmas tree)
On Christmas morning, my mom made a yummy coffee cake... let's just say that it had a mind of its own!
We enjoyed relaxing and drinking lots of apple cider.
Christmas evening we flew out to Kansas. Here is our meal at Grandma Jan's house. She was so sweet to make turkey and dressing. Since we missed it at Thanksgiving... we begged for it during our trip out. It was so great!
This was our first time meeting our new niece Caroline. She's a doll! She was born a few days after we left from our last trip to Kansas in July.
Thanks for delaying the traditional "Christmas Eve" meal until we came out!

Yes... Brett continues to be the baby whisperer. I'm hoping this is still true once we have a little one!
When all was said and done, we celebrated Christmas 4 different times in 9 days. It was extra fun and extra special! We wouldn't trade a moment of it for anything!

oh my gosh, that was exactly what happened to my pull apart bread! as i was doing it at 1 am, i totally as not thinking straight. so i filled up my pan. not taking into account the rising. as i baked it the next morning, i had to keep pulling them off and putting them in another one. it was a disaster! too funny :-)
