Here are some highlights from weeks 3 & 4 with our little guy. It's been action packed!
Brett's office had a "Meet the Baby" party for us. Isaac had just turned 3 weeks old. We enjoyed wonderful food and a fun time with Brett's co-workers! They have all been so generous to support us during our adoption process!

Showing off the new baby
Family pic! Isaac was so tiny... and he slept the entire time.
It was "Bring Your Grandson to Work Day" at Jes' Dad's office... well, not really, but she decided to stop by and visit anyway. It was so fun for the proud Granddaddy to show off his new Grandson to all of his co-workers. Who wouldn't like a cute distraction during the day?
Isaac hit the 1 month mark! Woohoo!
Highlights from his one month check-up:
- Isaac is 21.5 inches long (he gained an inch and a half since birth)
- He weighs 8lbs. and 12 oz.
- Currently in the 5th percentile
- Development: Extremely alert and interactive for his age; very strong neck muscles; great progress with gaining head control; watches and follows objects very well
- Our goal before the next check-up: help him gain weight!!! (side note: we're already making great progress in this area)
Jes' co-workers also hosted a wonderful Meet the Baby Party! Jes was really excited to introduce her co-workers to meet Isaac. There was a great turn out at the party, and they generously showered us with gifts for our baby boy. We had such a fun time!

Hanging out with Christie
Adorable decorations hanging from the ceiling. They said they found these at party city!
Even my retired manager came back for the party. Susan was my manager for the first 3 years that I worked at hospice prior to her retirement. It was very special that she came back for this event!
Jana, Hannah, Charlie & Caroline were in Charlotte visiting family, so we met in Salisbury for breakfast. It was so much fun to see them and to introduce them to their new cousin / nephew.
Wow! The kids have all grown so much! They are precious and we adore them. It was so special to see them!
You wouldn't believe how hard it is to get a smiling picture with 3 adults and 4 kids. Over the course of 2 minutes we took 6 different pictures. I wish I could include them all because they are so funny! This was by far the best... but Isaac was ready to be done... and Hannah and Charlie were about ready too... Caroline sure was loving it though. :)
More updates to come!!!
