Visitors (Part 2)

As I mentioned in a previous post, we have been so blessed to have a wonderful support system of family members and friends!  It has made of experience of being parents even more special since we have been able to share our joy with others.

Here are some more of our visitors:

David and Annette - Jes' manager and his wife

Candice & Abel - friend from Jes' work - Thanks for the tasty stuffed zucchini!

Brian and Marsha Jordan - Thanks for the yummy pasta!

Jennifer & Ryan - These dear friends came all the way from Greenville, SC!  Jennifer and Jes have been friends since college, and they were bridesmaids in each other's weddings.  It was so great to have them spend time with us!   They are such naturals!

It was really fun to see them again... since visits are few and far between.  Also, they brought us perfectly cooked oatmeal cookies!  YUM!

Another visitor from SC was our dear friend Heather.  She came from Anderson, SC.  Heather was one of Jes' bridesmaids too and they have been friends for almost 10 years! We had so much fun during her visit!  We love Heather and are so glad that she came so far to share this special time with us!

Drew, Kelley & Lucy - Friends from church, small group & now long distance friends
Drew and Kelley work for Campus Crusade at NC State.  They had been working in Florida all summer as a part of the college ministry.  As soon as they came back to NC they were so sweet to come and see us!  Lucy is a doll!  Thanks again for lunch!

Brett's youth pastor and family came to visit us on their way to the lake.  We had lunch together at Sir Pizza and then hung out back at our house.  Brian, Jennifer & Colton have always had a special place in our hearts!

John, Lindsay & Lucy
It was really fun to have these friends come and visit!  Lindsay generously made a wonderful meal of southern comfort food (homemade chicken and dumplings) for us and it helped us relax as we were adjusting to parenthood!

If Isaac follows in his father's footsteps, then he will probably fall for an older woman.  So far, he's met several beautiful gals that will definitely melt his heart as his gets older!

Erin, Matt & Holden brought us amazing sloppy joes!  They are some of our friends from church.

Jes' cousin Brandon - He's such a natural with holding a baby!

Jaclyn - friend from church
Thanks Jaclyn for the wonderful burritos!  We enjoyed them for days!

Susan - Jes' retired manager
Susan and Jes have been through so much together.  They worked together for years, and Susan has shared in each part of our adoption journey, beginning with our infertility.  It was so special for us to get to visit together and let it sink in as we realize how God has provided in so many ways!
