Celebrating our 5th Wedding Anniversary

It is hard to believe that we are already celebrating our 5th anniversary!  Actually, these five wonderful years have been so packed with memories...maybe it does feel like it's been that long.

My (Jes') parents kept Isaac so that we could go out for a nice dinner to celebrate! (Thanks again!)

We went to a restaurant in Asheboro called Bistro. The food was amazing! I had the crab cakes:

 Brett had the filet:

We spent time thinking back through the highlights of the last year as well as our hopes for the future.  It was so nice to have a slow, relaxing dinner while truly catching up with each other.

Here are some things that we have enjoyed during the last 365 days:

Our 4th Anniversary - The 1st time that we purchased baby clothes as we were stepping out in faith that God would provide a child for us through adoption.

Home DIY projects including prepping our nursery:

 Fun times with friends:

 Meeting our new niece Caroline:

Making fantastic food for special occasions:
 (Valentine's Day 2012)

Ryan and Jennifer's Wedding:

Welcoming our son into the world:

A special weekend with our new son and our Birth Mom at the hospital:

 Summer trip to the beach:

Introducing our son to our family members:

We truly have a lot to be thankful for!  May we never forget that God has His hand on each aspect of our life together.  He has provided for us and blessed us in so many ways!  There is so much to celebrate!

After dinner, we headed to di'lishi (a local fro-yo spot) for dessert.  Yum!

I know, not a flattering pic, but I was so ready to eat my chocolate creation!

We never knew that our family would look like this in September 2012.  We are happy beyond words!

Can't wait to see what the future holds!
