We have some very exciting news!!!
We shared that we were "expecting" several months ago when we were approved by our adoption agency and officially started the waiting process. We are overjoyed to share that our expectation has become reality as we have been chosen by a Birth-Mom to adopt her baby!
He's due on...
We received the official call from our adoption agency informing us that we had been chosen by a Birth-Mom on April 2nd. We thought it was such a neat "God thing" that exactly a year earlier on April 2, 2011, we were in Mexico on vacation and officially decided to move forward with the adoption process. Wow!
In the past month we've had the privilege of meeting our Birth-Mom and getting to know her a little. We have been very blessed by the relationship that has begun to develop and are excited about the role that we will all play in one another's lives in the future. We'll share more about all of that later (including more information about what it means that we will have an open adoption). But for now we want to share just one of the many things that makes her very special - she has given us the honor of naming him. What a gift!
We've decided to name him:
Isaac means "child of the promise" and "laughing one". We think that this name is perfect for our son because through him God is giving us such a great gift and has already filled us with incomparable joy! Taylor is Brett's middle name and is a family name from his Mom's side.
We have been very excited over the past weeks as our love for baby Isaac grows each day and we eagerly anticipate his arrival! This weekend we went away for a quick "babymoon" (hence the beach pictures). We'll share more about that and lots of other details soon!

Congrats!!! We are so thrilled for you! Can't wait to photograph your new family!
Love this! So creative and so sweet and filled with such love it brought tears to my eyes. I am so excited for you and for us! Can't wait to meet my new grandson, Isaac Taylor. I believe he will grow into his name naturally in your laughter filled home, just one of the many qualities that makes you the perfect choice for this baby.
Congratulations! How neat it is to see the Lord work everything out and bless you with a little one.
God Bless!
