Happy 6 months Isaac!
On December 8th, Isaac turned 6 months! Here are some facts about this exciting stage in his life:
- Weight: 18 lbs.
- Height: 27.5 inches
- He's now eating stage 2 foods, oatmeal and drinking lots of milk each day. Eating is his favorite activity!
- As soon as we
hold him on our lap, he is a non-stop jumper and wiggler.
- He has started reaching (and leaning)
towards whomever he wants to go see.
- It
seems like every day he is making new sounds!
Right now he is practicing new pitches of happy squeals and the “p”
sound. “P” and “B” are his current
favorites, but this changes quickly. He
is very verbal, especially when he’s trying to stay awake but he is sleepy. He will talk and talk until he is suddenly
quiet because he is asleep. It’s really
funny to listen to. He does this at home
in his crib and in the car seat.
- He is a much better sleeper. (finally!) He goes down easily at 7:30pm each night and wakes up for one feeding between 3:30am - 5am. Then he goes back to sleep until 7:30am.
- He enjoys it when we read books to him, especially board books and others with bright colors. He tries to grab the pages too! One of his favorites is "Moo, Baa, La la la."
- The tickle monster makes him laugh so much. He is very ticklish!
- He is still teething... but no pearly whites yet. They should be coming anytime now (or that's what we've been thinking the last 3 months).
Can't wait to see what firsts will happen next month!
